Group 9 Womens Nines Tackle Knockout
Nominations are now being sought for Womens Tackle Teams to compete in a Knockout Carnival to be conducted over 2 days, Saturday 2nd April and Sunday, 3rd April 2022. All games will be played at the Parramore Park Sportsground, Wagga Wagga or any other venue as decided by the organizing committee.

Rules and Regulations
- It remains the responsibility of all clubs entering the Group 9 Women’s Rugby League Carnival to obtain, where necessary, the permission from their respective League. It is also each club’s responsibility to satisfy NSW Rugby League requirements regarding the lodgment of a security deposit if using overnight accommodation.
- Nominations with Group 9 Rugby League (the organizing committee) will close by last mail (5:00pm) Friday, 18 March 2022. Teams nominating in the senior division – players must by 17 or over as per NSWRL regulations. Teams nominating in the U17s division – must be born 2005-2006; U15s division – must be born 2007-2008.
(Please note a minimum of 4 teams will be required for the U17 & U15 divisions). Nominations should be emailed to:
- The nomination fee of $250/$150 must accompany each entry. The nomination fee will be forfeited by teams not appearing to play as scheduled. Substitute teams can be added if a forfeit occurs after the draw is completed.
- All players must be registered to play Rugby League. This will incur an additional fee for insurance cover of:
Seniors, 19 years old+: $80;
17-18 years old: $40;
16 years old & under: $20.
A registration link will be forwarded to each team when they have paid their entry fee.
Girls that are already registered to play in a tackle competition will not be required to pay the additional fee. This excludes representative games i.e. Women’s Country Championships. This registration will need to be checked and confirmed by NSWRL.
- Nominations will be unlimited in the Senior and Junior divisions. Each team will be given an entry number as received and placed into a playing pool. Each team will be scheduled to play a minimum of 4 games. The draw will be advised to entrants no later than Tuesday, 29 March 2022.

- The competition will be conducted over 2 days, Saturday 2nd April and Sunday, 3rd April 2022. All games will be played at the Parramore Park Sportsground, Wagga Wagga or any other venue as decided by the organizing committee.
- All matches will consist of 2 x 9 minutes halves, with no time off for injury, except Semi-finals & Grand finals which will have time off for injury.
- Each team entering may nominate up to 16 players, who must be registered with or approved by NSWRL to play in their nominated team. Clubs making false statements regarding the registration status of players will be immediately removed from the Carnival. Once a player has taken the field representing an entrant team, she must complete the Carnival representing that team.
- Teams consist of nine (9) players on the field & seven (7) replacement players. A maximum of 16 players may be used in any game. Unlimited interchange applies
- The organising committee will not be responsible for any medical, hospital, ambulance, or compensation claims incurred by any player participating in the carnival.
- All games will be controlled by Referees appointed by the Group 9 Referees Appointments Board. Referees from other Groups/Leagues will be invited to participate.
- All protests, disputes and hearings for players sent from the field, will be dealt with by the organising committee Judiciary & Disputes Committee comprising two (2) members of the organising committee and one (1) other from the NSWRL, Group or visiting Club Official.
- Any player citing must be in the hands of the organising committee within 1 hour of the conclusion of the game.
- Suspended players are NOT eligible to play in the Carnival.
- Players can only play for the team to which they have been registered. Teams will forfeit their game if they play a player not registered to their team.
- All players will be required to sign a team sheet before taking the field.
Rules relating to drawn games in pool matches and semifinals:
In the event of a draw the winner shall be –
- The team scoring the most tries;
- If tries are even the team scoring the first try; or
- If no tries are scored the team scoring the first penalty goal.
In the event of a scoreless game the result shall be decided as follows:
- Least penalties conceded; or
- If penalties conceded are even, the team conceding the first penalty loses.
In the event of a draw in the Grand Final, the Golden Point rule will apply.
